Sidekick has a thoughtful collection of books for purchase for everyone from babies to adults. Our goal is for customers to be able to walk into our shop and see a book that they have an interest in and characters on the cover that look like them. Owner Katy Herbold’s passion for promoting literacy initially sparked the idea of starting a bookstore focusing on children’s books, and demand for adult titles has caused her selection to rapidly expand. With experience as a first-grade teacher and certification to improve student skills in all areas of literacy, Katy knows how to select books and boost kids’ learning from babies to young adults.
