Fishtastic! by Tess Weaver and illustrated by Jennifer Black Reinhardt is a story that celebrates the joy of discovering your own enchanment. The story takes place at Hancher Auditorium here in Iowa City! At this pop-up day camp, children will enjoy a Fishtastic! storytime, a guided tour of The Englert, and a visit to the University of Iowa Natural History Museum! The camp will meet at Sidekick Coffee & Books, and the fun will kick off with face painting or temporary tattoos. Campers will also decorate their own journal for them to document their discoveries of the day to come. Children will also enjoy outdoor fun, with activities like flying kites, kickball, etc. Campers must bring their own lunch. A morning and afternoon snack will be provided by Sidekick. All campers will go home with a copy of Fishtastic! Campers will be chaperoned by owner, Katy Herbold, former elementary school teacher, and two additional Sidekick team members. The camp is held on an ICCSD no-school day!
